Overview

Peace and conflict resolution involve the strategic choices individuals make. In this course, you will critically examine current models of conflict resolution, specific techniques for principled negotiation, and methods for addressing moral disagreements. By examining strategies used at societal, intergroup, interpersonal, and intrapersonal levels, you will develop new skills applicable to every facet of your life.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Recognize and seek to resolve interpersonal conflicts.
  • Identify potential conflict factors, such as cultural diversity, age, and gender.
  • Accurately present another's point of view, even if it differs from your own.
