Overview

Global enterprise has developed as technology has emerged to support it. Instantaneous global communication has made it possible to manage transnational companies more effectively. E-mail, video conferencing, group support systems, and WAN technology have all contributed to the growth of the global enterprise. This course will examine the current state of technology as it affects the global enterprise and will look to the technologies that are on the horizon.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Describe effective technologies for a global enterprise.
  • Develop a technology plan that is appropriate to a specific transnational business.
  • Anticipate the emergence of new technologies that will give a global enterprise a competitive advantage.
